Launched from jail, John Wesley Hardin leaves a merchant account of his existence using the local newspaper. It informs of his excessively religious father, his resulting existence of cards and guns, and the fascination with his step-sister changed on her behalf dying throughout a gun fight with this for dance-hall girl Rosie.
